  Flim Review (Soap opera 'Friends')

Recently, I have been watching the soap opera 'Friends' in order to improve my spoken English. I have downloaded the season one and two from internet, as well as all scripts of ten seasons.
For taking up all English use, I try to write every episode a short film review. The first episode of the first season is as following:

TOW:Where Monica Gets a New Roommate

I am heard of all American soap opera, they will try to play a pilot so that they can get the reflection from audience. If it is not welcomed, then the opera will be cut. That is a good way, I suggest our soap opera try this way. It is really some bad soap opera nowadays. I even don't want to turn on the television which is full of trash soap opera. OK, come back to our Friends.

In the first Episode, Monica,Pheobe,Joey and Chandler are hanging out in Central park, which is a coffee cafe. The friends are always spending their time there. They are talking about the guy Monic will go out with. Chandler and Joey are making fun of this guy. They guess this guy is a humper and a hairpiece.

What ensues Chandler is recalling his high school dream while Ross comes in. He says "hi" to everybody mortified. Joey's words quote:"THis guy says hello, I wanna kill myself." How upset Ross is that moment we can imagine. Monica tells everybody that Carol moved out from Ross and Carol's, and it turns out Carol is a lesbian. She leaves Ross. Ross is very unhappy, he said as:" I just feel like someone reached down my throat, gradded my small intestine, pulled it out of mouth and tied it arround my neck..." Oh, God, come on, this sentence is so familar for us, I think most poeple have heard it before. Yes, it is quoted in Chinese version in "A Chinese Odyssey", which is said by Su Wukong. So we know where it comes and who copies.

Rachel enters in a wet wedding dress while everyone is conforting Ross and keeping fixating on Carol's lesbian thing.
Rachel escapes from her wedding with Barry who is a dentist. She explains to everybody about her situation.

Then in Monca's apartment, everyone is watching TV except Rachel is in phone with her Dad. She is explaining why she cann't marry Barry. She doesn't love Barry, and she compares her life to the commodity. She doesn't want to be a shoe, she want to be hat. But her Dad, I think may purposely misunderstand her. Then she makes her idea herself to live with Monica whom she still haven't discussed with." And following she has a little conflict with her Dad, and says "maybe I don't need your money." Her Dad hangs up.

Paul and Monica are going out to dinna. Chandler and Joey are helping Ross put his new funinture together. Ross is still sad of Carol's leave. He even worries if there is only woman for everybody. But what happens to him is that one woman is for another woman. Joey compares the woman to kinds of ice cream flavers. He advises Ross to grab a spoon. Paul is a playboy who is good at flirting with girls. He tells Monica, he cannot perform sexually for two years after his ex-girlfriend walked out on him. Actually, it is a line of his. He says that to every girl he goes out with in order to gain passion sympathy of girls. That shows from Frannie's talking with Monica. She says," I take credit for Paul. Y'know before me, there was no snap in his turtle for two years."

The next day, Rachel makes her first coffee in Monica's. But it seems not to taste good after Chandler and Joey drinks. After they all go to work, Rachel decides to find a job to live on. She decides to be indepedent. But what a funny, she is laughed out for twelve interviews. But she is still very upbeat just because of the the John and David boots on sale. Of course, she bought one. She is a girl who is coddled since childhood, and she is very adoring shopping and famous brand. Before she escapes from her wedding, she worries nothing about life. Before she lives with Monica, she even hasn't made coffee herself. What a cosset!

After job thing, Monica reminders Rachel that her Dad is paying the credit card which she is charging while Rachel is happy of her new boots and feels she needs not her Daddy and job. Everyone encourage Rachel to cut her credit card. Don't live off her parents. She cuts her credit cards, and new life is beginning with these five friends together. As Monica said, the real world sucks, but we all still love it.

In the ending of this episode, Ross tells Rachel when he was in high school, he got a crush on her. And it seems he re-rouses his love of her. That is wonderful. How it will comes? Ok, this is the first episode. Over.
